what if the Trojan priest Laocoön had been a cat? Would those three sea snakes even stand a chance?
This is a confrontation between a Persian cat and an Eastern Kingsnake. This piece is a tribute to El Greco’s masterpiece, Laocoön. I have preserved the "frenzied and tormented" linework characteristic of the original, but replaced the tragic figures with the ultimate "drama queens" of the animal kingdom—cats.
The way they struggle within the mess of snakes perfectly mirrors that classic "persecution complex" your own feline master exhibits during a bath or a much-hated nail trimming.
Product Details:
• Artistic Style: Fine-line technical drawing inspired by El Greco's Mannerism.
• Subject: A classical parody blending Greek mythology with feline personality.
